i plug it in to charge to charge it shows the upper left battery charging.Then it comes off. IS it software or hardware?

I just got a replacement for my Tour (bad trackball). On Desktop Mgr 1.04 Mac, upper left hand corner under BB icon, it shows my old and new BB. I know this is unimportant but it will annoy me. Is there a way to delete the phone I no longer

I upgraded to the latest 9700 OS (.862) and since then I have been having trouble with my lock key (upper left) which works to put the phone into standby mode, but doesn’t work to take it back out.
