2 torches bricked after updating from 9700

as the title says….i bricked two torches after using device manager to switch from my 9700. After switching devices everythign loads up and works wonderfully, then on my first restart or batter pull the phone takes about 30 minutes to get to the att screen and then will stay there

I own a 8900. I removed the sim card and placed in a different sim card from another company. The phone rejected it and said invalid SIM. So i replaced my simcard (the original) and it still said Invalid SIM. I bought an MEP CODE. It worked, the phone said
