Anyone else surprised by the camera’s quality?

Just got the 9780 last week as an upgrade to the 9700 and I’m pleasantly surprised at how the camera’s quality has remarkably improved. The difference of 2 MP doesn’t feel like the reason for it’s improvement however. It seems as though RIM fit a much better sensor in here.
