I just bought a T-Mobile Blackberry 8520, used. It had an IT setting that prevented me from making calls, but I was able to reset to factory settings and re-install the OS 5.0.0.9? and it works fine. The only issue I have is that I am unable to set the GPS location on. The only option is ‘off.’ GPS data source is ‘none.’ Does this mean that my carrier doesn’t allow GPS with their Blackberry service? or is the problem something to do with the phone. Poynt says it has ‘detected that my GPS chip is disabled.’ Is there a way to ‘enable’ it?
