Compose BBM problem, please help?

hey guys,
i just updated my bbm to 6.1 and now i seem to have lost the feature to compose bbm messages from my messages inbox. usually the mini-menu would come up -> compose -> bbm would take me to the bbm application but now it’s no longer there. can anyone help me get it back please? im on a bold 9900 OS 7.0.0.585.
