Haggling with a TM rep (long story) over the cost of replacing a busted device. Curious if anyone has any info regarding the EOL date for the 9700 Bold?

I see that Telus (Canada) appears to have issued and EOL date for it, with the 9780 set to replace it possibly in October. Wondering if this may hold true for US customers? Info has leaked on various sites for the 9780, but no EOL date appears to have been issued as yet (unless I missed it).
